About the Role
The intern will contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of agentic systems—AI-driven agents capable of autonomous decision-making and goal-directed behavior. This role involves close collaboration with researchers and engineers to prototype, test, and refine system behaviors in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement components of autonomous agent architectures
- Develop simulations to test agent decision-making under varying conditions
- Collaborate with research teams to integrate learning algorithms into agent frameworks
- Evaluate agent performance using quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Document system designs, experiments, and results for internal review
- Iterate on agent behavior based on feedback and testing outcomes
- Assist in the creation of benchmarks for agentic capabilities
- Explore safety and alignment considerations in autonomous systems
- Support integration of agents into multi-agent environments
- Contribute to technical discussions on agent reasoning and planning
- Prototype tools for monitoring and debugging agent actions
- Work with large-scale datasets to train and evaluate agent policies
- Analyze emergent behaviors in agent populations
- Participate in sprint planning and technical standups
- Present findings and progress to the broader team regularly
Nice to Have
- Master's or PhD candidate in a relevant technical discipline
- Publication record or research experience in AI or machine learning
- Hands-on experience with agent-based modeling frameworks
- Knowledge of formal verification methods for AI systems
- Experience deploying AI systems in real-world or simulated environments
- Familiarity with natural language processing for agent communication
- Background in cognitive science or human-AI interaction
- Proficiency with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker
