This role centers on managing rapid engineering change requests and delivering technical resolutions for non-conformances arising during manufacturing. You will play a key part in maintaining production flow while ensuring all design modifications meet compliance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and support expedited engineering change requests to minimize production delays
- Evaluate and document technical dispositions for non-conforming parts or assemblies
- Collaborate with Stress, Manufacturing, Quality, Methods, and Program teams to implement changes efficiently and correctly
- Conduct on-aircraft assessments when necessary to validate design adjustments in real-world conditions
- Ensure adherence to engineering change control procedures and configuration management standards
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven background in aerospace design, with direct experience supporting production or liaison engineering
- Proficiency in CATIA and ENOVIA for design modeling and data management
- Experience drafting technical dispositions and initiating fast-track change documentation
- Familiarity with configuration control, engineering documentation practices, and change board processes
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of three days per week on-site
- Fluent in both English and French, written and spoken
Preferred Background
- Support experience on commercial aircraft programs such as Airbus or Bombardier
- Knowledge of Material Review Board (MRB) or Design Authority workflows
- Participation in technical review boards or change validation meetings
- Understanding of assembly line constraints and manufacturing feasibility
- Experience in final assembly or high-rate production environments
Work Environment
This position operates under a hybrid model, based in Mirabel, requiring three days per week on-site during standard business hours. The role may involve time on the production floor and occasional access to aircraft for assessment purposes.
Benefits and Compensation
Compensation ranges from $54,300.00 to $118,350.00, with eligibility for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions.
