AEVEX Aerospace is hiring an Aeromechanical Engineering Group Leader to manage and develop a team of engineers while actively contributing to critical project objectives. You will ensure effective resource allocation, drive process and design improvements, and champion the growth of your team.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Supervise assignments and manage the career development of your assigned staff.
- Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
- Oversee and contribute to project logistics and resource allocation.
- Strive to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
- Secure resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.
- Help create and oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies.
- Attend trade shows and conferences and make site visits to suppliers' facilities.
- Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors, senior management, and potential customers.
- Maintain high-level expertise in your field or sector.
- Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team leaders and departments.
- Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
What We're Looking For
- BS in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable degree.
- 7+ years of experience in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience in a technical role.
- Experience using SOLIDWORKS computer-aided design (CAD) platforms or equivalent.
- Experience using Confluence and JIRA software tools.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret DoD clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Master's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
