Gatekeeper is seeking an AEO / SEO & Content Lead to take ownership of our organic growth strategy. You'll combine traditional SEO with emerging Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) practices to increase organic pipeline generation and strengthen our visibility across the entire digital buying journey. Success in this role will be measured by the contribution of organic channels to qualified pipeline, improvements in organic conversion rates, and increased visibility across search engines and AI platforms.
What You'll Do
- Own and evolve Gatekeeper’s organic search strategy, spanning both traditional SEO and AI-powered discovery.
- Develop and execute quarterly SEO and AEO roadmaps covering site structure, internal linking, schema implementation, semantic search optimisation, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
- Build strategies to increase Gatekeeper’s visibility across AI platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity.
- Identify new opportunities to improve discoverability through structured data, entity optimisation, and semantic content strategies.
- Lead the development and optimisation of Gatekeeper’s organic content strategy to drive qualified traffic and pipeline growth.
- Create detailed SEO and AEO content briefs including keyword research, intent analysis, competitive insights, and optimisation recommendations.
- Optimise existing content through improved metadata, internal linking, schema markup, and conversion-focused enhancements.
- Drive content consolidation and improvement initiatives to prioritise high-performing pages and improve overall site authority.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales to identify high-value topics aligned with buyer needs and industry trends.
- Monitor organic search performance using GA4, Google Search Console, HubSpot, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs or Semrush.
- Track and report on rankings, traffic, content performance, and pipeline contribution from organic channels.
- Experiment with new tools and frameworks to optimise content for AI-powered search, conversational prompts, and semantic relevance.
- Identify opportunities to improve organic landing page performance and run A/B tests to increase conversion rates.
- Manage Gatekeeper’s presence across review platforms such as G2 and Capterra to maximise organic visibility and credibility.
- Oversee third-party content initiatives including partnerships, affiliate opportunities, and industry publications.
- Identify opportunities to increase Gatekeeper’s citation presence across high-authority platforms and industry ecosystems.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience owning an organic growth strategy, combining SEO with AI-powered discovery.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed SEO and AEO roadmaps.
- Experience building strategies for visibility across AI platforms.
- Strong background in content strategy, optimisation, and consolidation initiatives.
- Ability to partner across Marketing, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales teams.
- Expertise in monitoring and reporting on organic performance using standard industry tools.
