AECOM is hiring a Resident Engineer to provide critical on-site supervision for a major Hong Kong public housing project. You will be responsible for the quality assurance and compliance of prefabricated concrete component production at a factory in Guangdong, China, ensuring all work meets approved drawings and specifications.
What You'll Do
- Conduct on-site supervision and inspection of precast concrete component production for a Hong Kong public housing project at a prefabrication plant in China, completing all related records and reports.
- Ensure factory-produced components meet stringent quality assurance standards.
- Supervise production according to project employer-approved drawings and specifications.
- Supervise materials and accessories both before and after production, including sampling and supervising the transport of raw material samples from the factory to Hong Kong for testing.
- Conduct on-site supervision and inspection of all related tests before and after prefabricated component production.
- Attend project meetings and coordinate construction work.
- Collect quality feedback information periodically.
- Take full responsibility for assigned supervision tasks and complete other tasks assigned by superiors.
- Work schedule: 10 hours per day (including 8 normal working hours and 2 hours for lunch), 6 days per week, with shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or higher diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- At least 3 years of engineering experience (for degree holders) or 5 years (for higher certificate holders) in the field of construction engineering.
- Within the required experience, one year must have been spent working in a structural design office.
- The relevant degree or higher diploma must be submitted to the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) for qualification confirmation.
- Meet language proficiency requirements in Chinese and English.
