Responsibilities
- Create and manage software platforms that automate critical processes in quantum laboratories and coordinate communication between devices, control systems, and data workflows.
- Work directly with physicists and hardware specialists to learn lab procedures and develop customized software solutions.
- Build and sustain internal applications and dashboards for real-time tracking of equipment status, system performance, experiment logs, and lab activities.
- Improve system visibility to enable quick issue resolution and reduce operational interruptions, with clear and useful error messages for users.
- Produce clean, modular, and testable code within a dynamic research and development setting.
- Manage deployment and ongoing support of laboratory software, including updates, maintenance, and problem-solving.
- Troubleshoot software problems across multiple layers of the stack, escalating to other team members when necessary.
- Support enhancements to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, including automated testing and build systems.
- Assist in shaping and refining software development standards such as version control practices, code review protocols, and issue tracking methods.
