Highmark Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our interdisciplinary palliative care team. This community-based role involves travel within the City of Pittsburgh to provide comprehensive care focused on symptom management, advance care planning, and developing goal-concordant care for high-complexity patients.
What You'll Do
- Perform complete histories, review records, and conduct physical examinations.
- Order and interpret laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies.
- Make medical diagnoses and institute appropriate therapy within your scope.
- Provide instruction and guidance on medical care to patients and families.
- Record and report pertinent information in the EMR and to the attending physician.
- Perform hospital rounds, document progress notes, and transcribe orders.
- Institute emergency measures and stabilization in acute patient situations.
- Identify and report significant changes in patient condition promptly.
- Maintain mandatory professional continuing education.
- Actively participate in medical education for students and staff.
- Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and patient engagement.
- Maintain compliance with the medical staff office.
- Uphold professional practice consistent with organizational mission statements.
- Perform specialty-specific procedures as credentialed.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate from an accredited PA program OR Graduate from a Nursing Approved Master’s or Post Master’s program.
- 1-3 years of department-specific experience.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Current Physician Assistant License OR Current RN license, CRNP license, and Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania.
Nice to Have
- ACLS certification.
- DEA license.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $67,500.00 - $126,000.00.
Work Mode
This is a local-city role requiring travel within the assigned territory in Pittsburgh.
