About the Role

DaVita is hiring a Registered Nurse (Acute) to provide specialized nephrology care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease within a hospital setting. You will deliver essential care through various renal therapies as an integral part of both the hospital and DaVita clinical team.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, creating and managing unique treatment plans.
  • Oversee a group of patients with PCT support, conducting observations, measuring stats, and setting up equipment.
  • Provide specialty nephrology care within diverse hospital settings such as ICU, CCU, and ED.
  • Deliver dialysis at a contracted healthcare system, integrating into both the hospital and DaVita teams.
  • Commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide lifesaving care during scheduled and on-call shifts with a schedule that adapts to patient needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or a three-year diploma may substitute.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment color blind test (accommodation may be provided).
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals, including a booster when eligible.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg).
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.

Technical Stack

  • Renal Therapies: Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, CRRT, and Apheresis.

Team & Environment

You will be part of a small interdisciplinary team of clinicians. Staff RNs are central to a team that supports and relies on each other.
