We have an exciting opportunity for an independent, self-directed Clinical Practitioner to support our Emergency Care service during off-peak hours throughout the week and weekends.
As an Autonomous Healthcare Professional, you will collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to deliver prompt and secure care for individuals accessing our Comprehensive Urgent Care Framework, offering diverse shift possibilities including:
- Direct patient interaction at Primary Healthcare Facilities in Chippenham, Salisbury, Keynsham, and Swindon
- Mobile consultations conducting home assessments for patients unable to travel, equipped with a fully stocked medical vehicle
- Remote triage shifts operating from our administrative headquarters
Our service aims to synchronize healthcare resources and, when medically appropriate, leverage alternative patient management strategies.
Clinical Practitioners deliver care through comprehensive patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and potential discharge or referral for undiagnosed medical conditions or acute health complications. You will contribute to developing an integrated healthcare approach across health and social service ecosystems, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
Key responsibilities encompass:
- Operating as an independent practitioner conducting clinical assessments and treatments for adult and pediatric patients
- Systematically prioritizing patient needs using comprehensive diagnostic techniques
- Conducting home consultations with vehicular support
- Recommending appropriate alternative care pathways
- Supporting Care Coordination Services
- Assisting with NHS111 call triage during standard operational hours
Senior clinical supervision remains continuously accessible during shifts.
Candidate Requirements:
- Registered healthcare professional with prescriptive authorization
- Demonstrated autonomous practice capabilities
- Advanced Practice Master's degree progression
- Comprehensive clinical assessment experience
- Comprehensive understanding of emergency care protocols
- Diverse population healthcare knowledge
- Minimum two years prescribing experience
