The University of Alabama at Birmingham is looking for an Admissions Counselor – East Georgia Regional Recruiter to represent the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. You will build and manage the recruitment territory in East Georgia, serving as the key contact for high school counselors and students while coordinating with local alumni to meet enrollment goals.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary UAB admissions recruiter in East Georgia and secondary territories, overseeing all student recruitment.
- Attend college fairs and plan high school visits to meet with prospective students.
- Coordinate prospective student and counselor events across key markets in your territory.
- Act as the main contact for local high school counselors and coordinate recruiting efforts with local UAB alumni chapters.
- Travel occasionally to Birmingham for staff training and on-campus recruitment events.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, Counseling, Public Relations, or a related field.
- At least four (4) years of related experience in student recruitment, university admissions, communications, marketing, public relations, and/or counseling.
- The ability to travel and work remotely.
- A valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record meeting University underwriting standards.
- The capability to stand for long periods and to lift and carry large quantities of sometimes heavy recruitment materials.

You will be a field representative within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, working remotely from your territory.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $50,050 - $58,710
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role requiring travel within your territory. The position is based in metro-Atlanta, preferably in North Fulton, Forsyth, or Gwinnett counties.
