The New Jersey Courts seeks an Administrative Specialist 2 to join the Monmouth Vicinage Human Resources Division. In this professional, team-oriented role, you'll provide essential HR policy and procedural guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees. You'll support our mission of operating with the highest standards of independence, integrity, and fairness.
What You'll Do
- Provide human resources policy and procedural guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Interpret and communicate human resources policies, rules, laws and/or regulations.
- Draft and compose routine correspondence, prepare reports, and/or proposals.
- Verify entered data against source documents and review confidential employee records.
- Assist with employee and labor relations matters.
- Administer the recruitment and selection process for professional, paraprofessional and clerical positions.
- Monitor onboarding documents and calculate salary data.
- Monitor working test period/probationary period documentation.
- Establish work relationships with internal and external customers, including state agencies and other outside organizations.
- Recommend improvements in operating procedures and/or administrative practices.
- Serve on committees and/or task forces.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the vicinage training unit.
- Attend job fairs and community outreach events.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.

- Knowledge in the areas of payroll processing, benefits administration, salary administration, classification, labor/employee relations, training, selection/recruitment and/or Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action.

You will work under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Human Resources Division Manager) and the direct supervision of the Court Executive 1B (Assistant Human Resources Division Manager).
Benefits & Compensation
- Schedule A: $52,593.71 to $86,166.03.
- Schedule B: $52,593.71 to $81,857.73.
- Starting salary normally at the minimum of the range.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based at the Monmouth Vicinage in New Jersey.
