Dexterra Group is hiring an Administrative Assistant - Remote Camp Operations Nunavut

About the Role

This role provides administrative and operational support for remote camps in Nunavut, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions through coordination of supplies, personnel movements, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for personnel travel and accommodations in remote locations
  • Maintain accurate records for camp inventories and supply orders
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for field staff
  • Prepare reports on camp operations and resource usage
  • Communicate with contractors and vendors to fulfill service requests
  • Track and manage equipment deployment and returns
  • Assist with scheduling transportation for personnel and cargo
  • Monitor compliance with safety and operational protocols
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications for camp management
  • Organize and distribute operational updates to stakeholders
  • Maintain digital filing systems for camp documentation
  • Assist in emergency response coordination when required
  • Support payroll documentation and timesheet collection
  • Track work permits and certifications for field teams
  • Coordinate catering and food supply logistics
  • Manage inventory of medical and safety supplies
  • Liaise with environmental officers on reporting requirements
  • Schedule maintenance and repair services for camp infrastructure
  • Provide administrative support during audits and inspections
  • Assist in developing operational briefings for new rotations

Work Environment

  • Capacity to move around camp sites which may have uneven terrain
