RemoteVA PH is hiring an Administrative Assistant with specialized expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMR). You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks in a healthcare setting, ensuring accurate patient records, and providing crucial support to the medical team.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain patient records using EMR systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence
- Assist healthcare professionals with administrative tasks and documentation
- Ensure proper filing and retrieval of electronic medical records
- Handle patient inquiries and provide support for appointment scheduling and follow-ups
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of all patient information
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies
- Provide administrative support for office management tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role within a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems and healthcare management software
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience with billing and coding in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
