Ellis Medicine is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to join its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSON) program. As a course team faculty member, you will implement evidence-based, student-centered teaching strategies across classroom, skills laboratory, simulation laboratory, and clinical settings. You will share responsibility for developing, assessing, and evaluating course curriculum.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the course team and coordinator(s) to develop and coordinate a nursing course or curriculum component.
- Design, teach, and evaluate course content and student progression.
- Supervise and evaluate student learning in class, clinical, skills, and simulation environments.
- Select appropriate learning experiences, including simulation and interactive activities.
- Complete weekly student feedback and submit all evaluations to the Course Coordinator within one week after each clinical rotation.
- Adhere to online substantive weekly feedback guidelines and grading.
- Assume a professional role as a nurse leader and serve as a role model for the profession.
- Establish effective communication channels and interact collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, hospital personnel, and community agencies.
- Advise or refer students for academic and nonacademic concerns, providing relevant resources.
- Participate in course team meetings and continuing education related to professional responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- Current licensure and registration in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- A master’s degree in nursing.
- Two years of recent clinical nursing experience relevant to the instructional area and/or evidence of leadership behaviors.
- Must have reliable transportation for class, simulation, skills, and clinical assignments.
- Demonstrates knowledge of recent trends in nursing, education, community, and legislation.
Nice to Have
- Teaching experience.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $51.00 per hour.
