SCOR is looking for an Actuary, Pricing to perform transactional pricing for reinsurance deals within approved authority limits. You'll be instrumental in analyzing risk and developing accurate pricing models in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform transactional pricing activities for deals within approved authority limits.
- Conduct experience analysis, including client experience and mortality assessments.
- Set and validate pricing assumptions, identifying and quantifying risks.
- Recommend and assess risk mitigation strategies and structural solutions.
- Develop actuarial models, including liability population cells and data tables.
- Run models and perform sensitivity analyses, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze the impact of changes in assumptions, methodologies, and product features.
- Create complete and clear documentation that captures assumptions and reasoning.
- Work collaboratively with the client deal team to gain approval for deals above local authority limits.
- Work with the US Actuarial Pricing Team to deliver a quality and timely priced product.
- Complete necessary analysis for client requested treaty amendments and make recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with marketing actuaries and account executives.
- Work with Corporate Actuarial staff to improve data modeling and establish valuation numbers.
- Assist other departments on various corporate projection work.
- Research technical topics, share knowledge, and implement decisions in the pricing process.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Experience with validation of detailed cash flow, reserve pattern, and capital component output.
- Experience working with international and national pricing development teams.
- Proficiency with pricing platforms and related pricing tools.
- Experience developing and recommending pricing assumptions.
- Experience building and reviewing actuarial models to price new business requests.
