About the Role

This position involves managing and analyzing acquisition activities for government programs, with a focus on procurement strategy, budget oversight, and regulatory adherence. The analyst will collaborate with program teams to ensure timely and effective execution of contracts and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze procurement requirements and acquisition strategies for federal programs
  • Prepare and review acquisition plans, source selection documents, and related materials
  • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and agency-specific policies
  • Support contract development from initial planning through award and execution
  • Evaluate contractor proposals for technical and cost feasibility
  • Assist in developing statements of work and performance specifications
  • Monitor acquisition schedules and recommend adjustments to maintain timelines
  • Coordinate with legal, technical, and program teams during procurement processes
  • Track budget allocations and spending related to acquisition activities
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed procurement approaches
  • Maintain acquisition documentation and ensure records are up to date
  • Provide input on risk management strategies for procurement actions
  • Support audits and reviews related to acquisition program performance
  • Develop presentations and reports for program stakeholders and leadership
  • Stay current with changes in federal acquisition policy and guidance
  • Assist in training team members on acquisition procedures and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes
  • Work closely with program managers to align acquisition efforts with mission goals
  • Manage multiple acquisition projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Ensure ethical standards and conflict-of-interest rules are followed

Security Requirement

Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance. Position may require access to sensitive government information.

Education Requirement

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Degree must be in a field relevant to acquisition, business, or public administration.

Work Location

Position is based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Occasional travel may be required.

Clearance Type

Position requires a minimum of a Secret clearance, with potential for higher depending on program needs.
