About the Role
This position involves managing and analyzing acquisition activities for government programs, with a focus on procurement strategy, budget oversight, and regulatory adherence. The analyst will collaborate with program teams to ensure timely and effective execution of contracts and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement requirements and acquisition strategies for federal programs
- Prepare and review acquisition plans, source selection documents, and related materials
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and agency-specific policies
- Support contract development from initial planning through award and execution
- Evaluate contractor proposals for technical and cost feasibility
- Assist in developing statements of work and performance specifications
- Monitor acquisition schedules and recommend adjustments to maintain timelines
- Coordinate with legal, technical, and program teams during procurement processes
- Track budget allocations and spending related to acquisition activities
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed procurement approaches
- Maintain acquisition documentation and ensure records are up to date
- Provide input on risk management strategies for procurement actions
- Support audits and reviews related to acquisition program performance
- Develop presentations and reports for program stakeholders and leadership
- Stay current with changes in federal acquisition policy and guidance
- Assist in training team members on acquisition procedures and best practices
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes
- Work closely with program managers to align acquisition efforts with mission goals
- Manage multiple acquisition projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Ensure ethical standards and conflict-of-interest rules are followed

Security Requirement

Education Requirement

Work Location
Position is based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Occasional travel may be required.
Clearance Type
Position requires a minimum of a Secret clearance, with potential for higher depending on program needs.
