About the Role
The role involves overseeing accounts payable operations, processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify invoice details against purchase orders and receipts
- Manage and resolve discrepancies in billing and payments
- Maintain up-to-date records of all payable transactions
- Prepare and submit payment runs according to schedule
- Reconcile vendor statements on a regular basis
- Respond to supplier inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
- Collaborate with procurement and receiving teams for documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounts payable
- Assist in financial reporting and data analysis tasks
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Work with external auditors during audits
- Monitor aging reports and prevent overdue payments
- Ensure tax compliance on vendor payments
- Apply accounting standards to daily transactions
- Track and report on key performance indicators
- Support system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives
- Follow company policies for financial governance
