JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will be largely responsible for the month-end close process, financial reporting, and supporting ad hoc projects, helping to bring beauty and security to the spaces that touch our lives.
What You'll Do
- Ensure the month-end close is completed accurately and on time, bringing variances to the attention of the Director of Accounting.
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations as needed, ensuring they meet JELD-WEN standards.
- Recommend and participate in process improvements.
- Handle financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, communication, and analysis for assigned cost centers.
- Support preliminary and annual audits performed by internal and external auditors, including walkthroughs.
- Execute and review internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company policies.
- Manage accountants assigned to your cost centers and areas.
- Complete quarterly Flux and Reporting Packages for assigned areas.
- Act as the subject matter expert for relevant cost centers.
- Handle ad hoc projects as needed.
- Stay current on upcoming changes to accounting standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of related accounting experience.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no oversight.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in a general ledger/fixed asset or ERP system.
- Prior experience with ERP software.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA and/or CMA certification.
- SAP experience is a plus.
