About the Role
The selected candidate will lead accounting operations, supervise staff, prepare financial statements, and support internal controls while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger activities and ensure journal entries are accurate
- Supervise a team of accounting staff and provide performance feedback
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
- Lead internal and external audit coordination
- Review accounts payable and receivable processes
- Monitor budgeting and forecasting procedures
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Support tax preparation activities and filings
- Ensure proper revenue recognition practices
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Manage cash flow reporting and bank reconciliations
- Develop and enforce internal accounting controls
- Assist with financial due diligence for business initiatives
- Prepare management reports for executive review
- Track and report on key financial metrics
- Ensure timely close of accounting periods
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on financial matters
- Maintain compliance with SOX controls where applicable
