About the Role
The Accounting Analyst will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing period-end close activities, and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger accuracy through regular account reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
- Prepare journal entries and adjustments for review
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles
- Monitor and classify financial transactions according to accounting standards
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly
- Contribute to process improvements within the accounting function
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations
- Track and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators
- Manage intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with data analysis
- Maintain documentation for accounting procedures and controls
- Assist in implementing and testing new financial systems or upgrades
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data
- Track fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Review and validate expense reports for policy compliance
- Assist in tax preparation activities and filings
- Ensure data integrity across financial platforms and ERPs
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding financial records
- Participate in internal control assessments and audits
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests
- Promote accuracy and timeliness in all accounting deliverables
