What You'll Do
Work as part of a close-knit group of accountants to capture and enter financial data with precision. You'll handle daily responsibilities including journal entry processing, bank reconciliations, and transaction matching to ensure complete and timely financial records.
Communicate regularly with clients through email to resolve discrepancies and gather necessary documentation. You'll pull bank statements, identify uncleared checks older than 90 days, and escalate issues to senior staff for resolution. Support the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports by following established accounting standards.
Maintain up-to-date records in company databases, ensuring data is accurate and accessible. Follow defined procedures to keep workflows consistent and efficient, while performing routine tasks such as rent invoice posting and cash application.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Have at least one year of experience in accounts payable or receivable roles
- Demonstrate a solid grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
- Communicate effectively in English at an intermediate level or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Shared Service Center models or experience working within one
- Familiarity with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Yardi, or AppFolio
- Experience applying standardized operating procedures in fast-moving environments
- Skill in managing multiple priorities with precision
- Proficiency with tools like Jira or HubSpot
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
