Role Overview
Join a forward-thinking team as an Accountant supporting a US-based real estate company. In this fully remote position, you'll play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring timely reporting, and enhancing internal processes. You'll work closely with the finance team to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, contributing to accurate financial records and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support monthly close procedures, verifying the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Analyze quarterly and annual financial statements, identifying trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement.
- Contribute to investor communications by preparing financial summaries and updates for distribution.
- Develop and track annual budgets, monitoring expenditures and providing insights on financial performance.
- Support tax compliance efforts, including preparation and filing of federal and state returns and distribution of 1099 forms.
- Oversee annual insurance renewals and coordinate claim submissions when necessary.
Qualifications

- Proven experience in financial reporting, compliance, and general accounting functions

Preferred Experience
- Background in financial due diligence or underwriting for real estate acquisitions
- Experience supporting transaction closings and related financial workflows
- Familiarity with Rent Manager for property accounting and billing
- Track record of improving efficiency through automation or process optimization
