SEPTA is hiring an Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and updates financial reports as required.
  • Keeps accurate records and source documentation to support monthly and quarterly financial analysis.
  • Creates various financial journal entries during the monthly closing process.
  • Generates and sends billing invoices to government entities, private businesses, and public organizations.
  • Examines and reconciles weekly invoices and cash postings.
  • Supports daily cash processing tasks when necessary.
  • Offers assistance and collaboration to team members within the department.
  • Follows all organizational and departmental safety and security protocols, including job-specific safety duties. Reports any safety issues, risks, or hazards impacting operations, the public, or personnel. Maintains personal safety and encourages a safe environment for others.
  • Completes additional tasks as directed by management.
