Spare is hiring an Account Manager

About the Role

Spare is looking for an Account Manager to play a significant role in our long-term growth. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth with our existing customers by leveraging your product and industry expertise. As the key contact for customer satisfaction and retention, you will ensure our partners' success while identifying expansion opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Drive revenue growth with existing customers through product and industry expertise.
  • Be the key contact for existing customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and business retention.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to understand needs and identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities.
  • Ensure contract renewals.
  • Educate customers on current and new product features, benefits, and configuration options to optimize their use of Spare’s platform.
  • Own account planning for customers and manage technical, operational, and executive stakeholders at large transit agencies and operators.
  • Provide weekly feedback & forecasting on all account activity and demonstrate excellent CRM adoption.
  • Work closely with champions and stakeholders to develop proposals and business cases for large scale deployments.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Business Development team to develop account-based marketing and sales plans.
  • Build a deep understanding of Spare’s products and key markets and maintain ongoing learning of new features.
  • Partner with and influence customers through thought leadership, industry best practices, and deep product knowledge.
  • Share customer feedback with Product, Engineering and Partner Success teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in Transit Technology sales and/or sales for government agencies.
  • Passion for and interest in Urban Planning and/or Transit (or correlated areas).
  • Understanding of the transit industry, including knowledge of the types of transit systems, regulations, and funding structures.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills) with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
  • Availability to travel frequently within Canada and the USA.

Nice to Have

  • Academic background in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Sociology, Sustainability, etc.
  • Experience in a transit tech company.
  • Experience in a transit agency.

You will be part of the Growth team, working closely with Partner Success, Marketing, Business Development, Product, and Engineering teams.

Work Mode

This is a global role open to candidates located in Canada and the USA.
