What You'll Do
Lead sales initiatives across the U.S. region, focusing on the bakery, bar, and confectionary markets. Develop trusted relationships with key customers and internal teams to advance business goals. Use deep technical knowledge to guide clients in selecting ingredients that meet their product needs.
Partner with innovation, applications, and marketing teams to align new developments with market demands. Maintain a clear view of the sales pipeline and contribute to industry networks through trade association involvement. Translate complex product capabilities into practical customer benefits, supporting long-term account growth.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in food science, bakery science, or a related life-science discipline
- Bring at least five years of professional experience in sales, bakery, or confectionary manufacturing
- Demonstrate expertise in functional food ingredients and technical marketing support
- Show proven ability in negotiation, strategic planning, and execution
- Have hands-on experience with Salesforce.com or comparable CRM platforms
- Communicate effectively across cross-functional, matrixed organizations
- Be comfortable traveling up to 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- AIB certification is a strong advantage
- Direct experience working with bakery manufacturers or major consumer packaged goods clients
- Track record of expanding sales in technical ingredient markets
- Ability to convert technical data into clear customer value propositions
