About the Role

Brenntag North America, Inc. is looking for an Account Manager focused on technical selling and providing effective solutions for pharmaceutical formulation development. In this role, you will work closely with customers to troubleshoot issues and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and an excellent customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct technical selling by providing effective solutions for pharma formulation development to create impactful projects.
  • Work closely with customers by troubleshooting and resolving any issues arising during formulation development or manufacturing.
  • Support technical inquiries by providing solutions to accelerate business development.
  • Work as a team player to provide technical solutions to key customers within the country.
  • Work with the value-added service team to bring solutions to support business development.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key customers to assess their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of products/services and achieve excellent customer experience.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue generation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to proactively identify threats and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage contract negotiations, contract renewals, and pricing for accounts.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to provide feedback and insights from customers, contributing to new product/service development.
  • Plan customer visits independently. Monitor, update, and submit reports on competitors and keep records in CRM.
  • Support the team with other responsibilities as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Food Supplements, Chemical Engineering, or any Science-related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Nutraceuticals ingredient industry.
  • Good business acumen and communication skills to build long-standing customer relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify customer challenges and drive business growth.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to navigate complex customer relationships.
  • Ability to adapt and develop solutions as per customer needs with clear and decisive communication.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Salesforce CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to travel to visit customers as needed.
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • High competency working with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined approach.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.

Nice to Have

  • Certification or training in sales, account management, or customer relationship management is a plus.
  • Fluent in any SEA language is an added advantage.
