Lumen Technologies is hiring an Account Manager II

About the Role

Lumen Technologies is hiring an Account Manager II to drive Regional Enterprise sales development within an established geographic territory. You will be responsible for a complex suite of services and a robust product set to increase brand awareness and grow the assigned region.

What You'll Do

  • Provide an accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
  • Develop Regional Enterprise sales in designated target markets by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective enterprise customers through cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
  • Build effective relationships internally through cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving with partners such as Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Solutions/Technology experts, Sales Support, and Service Delivery.
  • Identify, bid on, negotiate, and close new sales opportunities to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas.
  • Provide comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from existing accounts.
  • Provide input to sales management about trends and changes within the customer’s organization and make recommendations about future courses of action.
  • Leverage strategic client relationships and external presence to achieve Lumen’s strategic imperatives.
  • Leverage external network to identify and recruit high performing talent to the team and build internal relationships with other leaders.
  • Spend at least 50% or more of your time conducting sales activities outside of the office.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5-7+ years’ experience using a solution-based sales methodology for enterprise technology services in a consultative, complex, business-line sales process.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong business acumen and expert knowledge of Lumen’s products, services, and solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce.com.
