Choice Hotels International, Inc. is looking for an Account Manager - Groups & MICE to drive group revenue by building relationships with key stakeholders. You will focus on growing small and emerging intermediary, tour and travel, and association accounts, representing a strategic priority and high-growth opportunity. You will manage a portfolio of approximately 40 accounts generating $5M annually.
What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of small and mid-sized intermediary, tour and travel, and association accounts.
- Understand client unique group travel needs, provide strategic hotel recommendations, and work to increase group bookings and brand loyalty.
- Prospect and cultivate new opportunities by engaging with intermediaries, tour and travel companies, associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Use market data and attend industry events to build a qualified pipeline of accounts aligned with Choice’s growth objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with Inside Sales, Hotel DOSMs/GMs/Owners to deliver custom proposals and increase conversion.
- Maintain disciplined tracking in Salesforce and monitor performance against individual sales KPIs.
- Represent Choice Hotels at key customer events, industry tradeshows, and client meetings.
- Travel up to 50% to engage face-to-face with clients, strengthen relationships, and secure new business.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS degree or 3+ years of experience in hospitality sales or business development.
- Knowledge of the meetings & events sales process.
- A strong understanding of sales pipelines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic, self-starter mentality, and passion for delivering measurable results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
