Manage client relationships and grow business through trusted advisory
This role is for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a client-facing position, balancing ongoing account management with organic business development. You'll be responsible for maintaining and expanding a current client base, serving as the primary contact for energy procurement needs and contract renewals.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison for assigned clients, building long-term partnerships through consistent, consultative engagement
- Prepare for and lead client meetings with a clear understanding of contractual terms and energy market trends
- Secure contract renewals and identify opportunities to extend services across client accounts
- Generate new leads primarily through client referrals and recommendations
- Stay informed on energy market developments to provide timely, relevant advice
- Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system, including meeting summaries and next steps
- Ensure compliance by keeping Letters of Authority current for all clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and share client insights
- Attend monthly team meetings and participate in occasional training or external events
- Support team initiatives and contribute to a cooperative working culture
What You’ll Need
- Proven background in a client-focused sales or account management role, ideally in a brokered service sector such as utilities, insurance, or telecoms
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a track record of managing client portfolios
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to independently manage workload, priorities, and travel schedules
- Full and valid UK driving licence
Preferred Background
Familiarity with the energy industry is beneficial but not required. A genuine interest in energy solutions and market dynamics will support success in this role.
Work Environment & Support
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely, in-office, and on-site with clients. You’ll have full control over your schedule and travel planning, with regular visits to client locations across Manchester, Hull, and Halifax. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure deep understanding of client needs and service offerings.
