GitLab is hiring an Account Manager to grow and manage a portfolio of Financial Advisor accounts. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving revenue growth and building lasting client relationships within a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary, trusted contact and strategic partner for Financial Advisors.
- Strategically engage and retain clients by deeply understanding their business needs.
- Counsel Advisors on best practices to optimize their SmartAsset campaigns.
- Lead high-priority client escalation calls and negotiations.
- Maximize revenue by selling additional products and services to your accounts.
- Manage and drive revenue growth within a growing book of business.
- Utilize Tableau and other sales tools to uncover new business opportunities.
- Represent the Account Management business in strategic meetings and provide feedback to leadership.
- Liaise with Account Executive and Advisor Support teams.
- Work with sales operations, marketing, and product teams to share advisor insights.
- Drive adoption of new tools and features across the team.
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records for all Advisor accounts.
- Assist with Outreach Automation Tool (OAT) setup and maintenance.
- Investigate billing discrepancies and intermediate finance conversations.
- Oversee pre-activation processes, including compliance approvals and onboarding.
- Action feedback from the Concierge team to improve client engagement.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in account management or business development.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of client relationships effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong professional phone presence.
- Skilled in building and maintaining lasting client relationships through multiple channels (email, phone, virtual meetings).
- Proven consultative sales expertise, adept at identifying client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Experience in team leadership or management.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
