Appian is hiring an Account Executive - SLED East to own and develop a primarily greenfield geographic territory. You'll be responsible for top-of-funnel activity and managing a complex sales cycle, typically lasting 6-12 months, to successful close.
What You'll Do
- Navigate a complex sales cycle from start to finish, leveraging internal resources across sales and customer success teams, as well as external customer and partner ecosystems
- Deliver in-person and virtual presentations to line-of-business and IT audiences, performing client discovery, communicating ROI, and building business value
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers and colleagues to leverage multiple stakeholders throughout complex deals
- Actively seek to understand industry trends to help position against competitors
What We're Looking For
- 5-10+ years of direct selling experience
- Minimum of 2 years as an Enterprise Account Executive, selling complex technologies at the enterprise level to State, Local, and Education customers
- History of consistent quota achievement
- Examples of landing new customer logos
- Strong job tenure: a history of displaying loyalty and perseverance through long, stable job tenure and positive career trajectory
