PUMA is hiring an Account Executive to manage its Run Specialty wholesale business in the Mid-Atlantic territory. In this remote role based in Philadelphia, you will be responsible for driving sales, building deep retailer relationships, and providing expert service to grow the running market.
What You'll Do
- Travel extensively throughout the Mid-Atlantic territory to service assigned Running Specialty accounts, with occasional weekend travel for key events.
- Attend key retailer and channel events, such as trade shows and conferences.
- Provide exceptional service and technical expertise from sell-in to sell-through.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with accounts and internal stakeholders to help drive the business.
- Manage all aspects of the business for wholesale account list, including the sell-in process, business planning, order entry, operational tasks, order book management, shop merchandising, and sell-through planning.
- Achieve annual sales volume and channel distribution targets for the territory and key accounts.
- Deliver all orders by booking deadline.
- Provide the Channel Sales Manager with weekly account updates and sales tracking against targets.
- Identify and cultivate new Running Specialty accounts within the designated territory.
- Provide product and brand training throughout the territory to drive sales.
- Proactively manage order book with a designated Sales Support Rep on a daily and weekly basis to review all open orders and ensure product is shipping.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in an outside sales role.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of running footwear and apparel, including technical expertise and familiarity with competitive brands.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- High level of energy, professionalism, and self-motivation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with strong follow-through.
- Ability to deliver compelling product and brand presentations using PowerPoint and spreadsheet tools.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the running and/or sports industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of the Run Specialty channel.
- Former competitive high school or collegiate running experience.
