About the Role

At McKesson Corporation, we are hiring an Account Executive, Multi-Specialty to be the strategic partner for our existing customers in the Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, and Neurology specialties across Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois. In this role, you will retain and grow your territory by understanding each practice's vision and aligning McKesson products and services to help them achieve their business objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day accounts, build relationships, sell, and troubleshoot while acting as the primary customer advocate.
  • Strategize, prioritize, and execute sales activities to create new opportunities with existing and new practices.
  • Understand a practice’s business challenges and priorities to align McKesson Provider Solutions.
  • Identify key strategic customers and decision-makers and personally develop those relationships.
  • Participate in continuous customer planning and shape account strategies.
  • Proactively develop and expand your network to generate new business opportunities.
  • Understand practice processes, buying cycles, and needs, and articulate the ROI of McKesson solutions.
  • Jointly identify and drive the strategic vision and partnership between the customer and McKesson.
  • Respond quickly to meet practice needs and resolve problems effectively.
  • Implement systems to monitor customer satisfaction and concerns.
  • Educate practices to build their understanding of issues and our capabilities.
  • Build rapport and establish trusted advisor relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver insightful Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Understand decision drivers and the implications of buying decisions for both parties.
  • Use knowledge of competitors and payers to communicate valuable market insights.
  • Understand the relationships between McKesson Provider Solutions business units.
  • Collect and organize data for analysis, articulate healthcare industry trends, and develop new opportunities.
  • Understand McKesson products and value-added services relative to the competition.
  • Know how competitors position their products and services in the market.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in progressive sales roles.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean, active, unrestricted driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within the territory, including overnight travel.
  • Remote/Home Office work environment; must live within the territory (Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio).

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience with an emphasis in Business, Health Administration, Communications, or other healthcare-related field.
  • Healthcare experience in the specialty field.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical products and the buy-and-bill model.
  • Knowledge of the insurance/payer landscape and trends in reimbursement and healthcare reform.
  • Understanding of a private medical practice business model.
  • Clinical or medical administrative credentials.

You will work cross-functionally with operations, finance, customer care, GPO, generics, sales effectiveness, contracts, legal, and other internal teams.

  • Compensation range: $114,000 - $190,000

Work Mode

This is a remote position. You must live and work within the assigned territory of Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois.
