Penn State is looking for an Administrative Assistant for the School of Labor and Employment Relations. You will serve as the administrative assistant and faculty and alumni relations coordinator, assisting the School Director and Administrative Support Manager to ensure efficient office operations.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the promotion and tenure process and the non-tenure-track promotion process for the School.
- Manage and coordinate the faculty recruitment process, including preparing advertisements and supporting search committees.
- Process faculty appointments, reappointments, and immigration applications.
- Serve as the liaison to the Office of Global Programs to coordinate the visa process for faculty and visiting scholars.
- Oversee the School Director’s calendar and coordinate meetings.
- Assist the School Director with confidential and non-routine administrative duties and correspondence.
- Manage the sabbatical leave process and other faculty affairs issues.
- Oversee Alumni Relations as the primary point of contact and coordinate all alumni events.
- Serve as the facilities coordinator for the School, overseeing building access and assisting new hires with office setup.
