Stride, Inc. / K12 is looking for a Student Success Advisor to drive student retention and success in a remote setting. You will serve as the primary coach and point of contact for students throughout their educational program, focusing on the complete student experience from initial enrollment to program completion and certification.
What You'll Do
- Utilize an engagement plan with a variety of contact strategies, primarily phone, to support students.
- Meet customer service expectations, including a minimum of 1 ½ hours daily talk-time.
- Act as the student’s personal coach and main contact throughout their program of study.
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot at-risk issues to prevent delays.
- Ensure new students are properly oriented to their program and understand the path to completion.
- Serve as a program expert, guiding students with strong product knowledge.
- Maintain high levels of student satisfaction through proactive support.
- Employ strategic thinking to ensure prompt and effective resolution of student issues.
- Respond to student requests in a timely manner, within 24 hours.
- Utilize a CRM system to track student progress and interactions.
- Meet or exceed assigned performance metrics for retention and success.
- Effectively manage a caseload of approximately 200-250 active students, with fluctuations based on enrollment.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of experience in a student-focused role.
- Ability to understand the unique needs and challenges faced by adult learners.
- Ability to communicate effectively through multiple channels and across departments in both written and oral forms.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and customer service skills.
- A genuine interest and commitment to helping students achieve their educational goals.
- Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to manage and adapt to working with individuals from various backgrounds.
- Must be results and goal oriented.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment while remaining solution-focused.
