About the Role

About Steer is hiring a Mid-Market Account Executive to own the full sales cycle for operators with 4 to 30 locations in the tire and full service automotive industry. This is a high-impact, hunter role focused on outbound sales, requiring autonomy and collaboration to define how we win in the mid-market segment.

What You'll Do

  • Source and close new business opportunities with 4 to 30 location operators.
  • Own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting to demo to contract.
  • Build multi-threaded relationships with decision makers and operational stakeholders.
  • Create clear business cases and ROI narratives tied to scheduling, CRM, and marketing automation workflows.
  • Partner with BDRs to validate and advance early stage opportunities.
  • Participate in daily sales huddles, coaching sessions, and ongoing skill development.
  • Maintain strong pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy in HubSpot.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product, Marketing, and CS based on mid market buyer needs.
  • Represent Steer at industry events and partner engagements when applicable.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven quota carrying SaaS closing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to self source pipeline and drive outbound motions.
  • Experience running multi step, multi stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Strong discovery, qualification and objection handling skills.
  • High ownership, competitive drive and consistent execution.
  • Excellent communication suited for owners and regional decision makers.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast moving, high change environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling into automotive, tire, home services or operational industries.
  • Selling into multi location businesses.
  • Background with CRM, scheduling or marketing automation tools.
  • Experience in early stage or growth stage SaaS.
  • Strong understanding of outbound SDR or BDR partnership.

Team & Environment

You will collaborate closely with sales leadership and BDRs, reporting to a Sales Manager and the CRO.
