Cambly is hiring an Account Executive, Japan (Remote)

About the Role

Cambly is looking for an Account Executive to join our team in Japan. You will be responsible for building scalable training solutions for the Japanese market by partnering directly with HR and L&D leaders. This role involves managing the end-to-end sales lifecycle, developing both inbound and outbound pipelines, and shaping our Go-To-Market strategy in the region.

What You'll Do

  • Create a clear target account plan for the region, focusing on high-potential clients.
  • Build and manage your full sales pipeline, handling inbound leads and conducting proactive outbound prospecting.
  • Use consultative and value-selling techniques to understand client needs and build strong relationships with key managers.
  • Network through in-person meetings, events, and conferences to strengthen relationships with high-level executives.
  • Travel up to 5% of the time for meetings and events.
  • Work directly with senior leaders (C-suite) to solve business problems and secure support for company-wide programs.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience (SaaS, HR Tech, or professional services preferred).
  • A track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Native-level Japanese proficiency (written and verbal).
  • Business-level English proficiency.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools and using engagement metrics to inform sales strategy.
  • Thrive in remote, fast-paced environments.
  • Motivated by owning and building a market.
  • Must be currently based in Japan.
  • Valid local work authorization is required at the time of application.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience at a fast-growing startup.
  • Experience in the EdTech, E-Learning, HR Software, or Well-being sector.
  • Experience with public sector or government procurement.

Technical Stack

  • CRM tools such as HubSpot.
