About the Role
This position drives revenue by identifying and closing sales opportunities within defence and intelligence organizations. The individual will build trusted advisor relationships, understand client missions, and align technical capabilities to solve critical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in defence and intelligence sectors
- Develop deep understanding of client missions and operational needs
- Lead sales cycles from prospecting to contract closure
- Collaborate with technical teams to tailor solutions for government requirements
- Present product capabilities to technical and executive stakeholders
- Manage a pipeline of active deals with consistent forecasting
- Negotiate contracts and pricing structures aligned with government standards
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
- Stay current on national security trends and technology developments
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams for export-controlled technologies
- Support proposal development for government solicitations
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
- Translate technical features into mission-relevant benefits
- Drive adoption of solutions through strategic account planning
- Work cross-functionally with marketing to refine messaging for government audiences
- Ensure customer success during post-sale onboarding phases
- Monitor competitive landscape in the intelligence technology space
- Advocate for customer needs internally to influence product direction
- Maintain awareness of federal procurement processes
Nice to Have
- Experience selling Earth observation or remote sensing data
- Existing relationships within intelligence agencies
- Familiarity with government contracting vehicles
- Past work with classified programs
- Master’s degree in public policy, international relations, or engineering
- Knowledge of cloud-based geospatial platforms
- Background in systems integration for government missions
- Experience with multi-year contract negotiations
- Understanding of ITAR and export control regulations
- Prior role in a startup or high-growth technology environment
