Weber Shandwick is hiring an Account Director, Earned Media Strategy

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and implementation of integrated earned media initiatives.
  • Create timely and impactful stories that generate media attention and align with current cultural trends.
  • Identify and act on fast-moving opportunities for client storytelling rooted in cultural relevance.
  • Produce high-quality written materials for internal and public use, such as briefs, press releases, messaging guides, and pitch content.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with influential media contacts across business, broadcast, and lifestyle sectors, including wellness, sports, food & beverage, fitness, and entertainment.
  • Stay current with evolving media dynamics, cultural shifts, and emerging issues affecting client landscapes.
  • Engage client work with inquisitiveness, aiming to deeply understand brand identities, competitive environments, and industry trends.
  • Provide senior-level counsel and maintain strong communication with clients and their leadership teams.
  • Deliver meticulous, high-quality results with a focus on client needs and expectations.
  • Work closely with internal teams and partner agencies to ensure alignment and successful execution of large, integrated campaigns.
  • Support the growth and skill development of junior staff through mentorship, feedback, and career guidance.
  • Contribute to new business development by participating in pitches and helping expand the practice.
