As an Account Director, you will guide enterprise clients in the technology industry by understanding their strategic needs and aligning them with comprehensive research, data offerings, and custom insights. Your focus will be on nurturing long-term relationships, expanding revenue streams, and ensuring client success through consultative engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell a portfolio of research, data, custom consulting, and events to technology clients through a consultative approach
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts, ensuring high retention and satisfaction
- Lead negotiations for renewals and new contracts, tailoring proposals to client objectives
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and drive cross-selling initiatives
- Generate new business through proactive prospecting, market research, and networking
- Guide prospects through the full sales lifecycle, from initial contact to contract close
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates in Salesforce
- Collaborate with global teams including analysts, consultants, and sales professionals to deliver client value
- Share market insights to inform business strategy and growth initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise sales with a focus on strategic account management
- Proven success managing complex sales cycles and onboarding major clients
- Strong ability to engage and influence C-suite executives
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Comfortable working in a remote, global environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Fluency in English and German required
- Willingness to travel as needed
