Essentia Health is seeking an Access Management Senior Director to provide strategic leadership for the system-wide Office of Access Management. You will be responsible for the overall design, implementation, and optimization of key patient access functions across all locations.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the system-wide Office of Access Management.
- Design, build, implement, and optimize scheduling, referral management, patient registration, admitting, pre-admissions, pre-financial counseling, and insurance authorizations.
- Collaborate with system leaders and providers to support development and implementation of operational access strategies within clinical practice locations.
- Monitor and promote new technology and ongoing innovative strategies to improve processes for patients.
- Oversee development and implementation of processes to guarantee integrity of demographic, financial, and clinical information and maintain compliance with all Essentia policies and procedures.
- Build consensus on major revenue cycle changes and new policies with peers and departmental administrators.
- Facilitate positive communication and build strong relationships between revenue cycle operations, operational administrators, clinic management, departmental staff, and payors regarding revenue cycle matters.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree required.
- 5 years of relevant leadership experience.
- 10 years revenue cycle or financial management experience.
- Revenue cycle experience including implementing significant organizational change, setting performance measurements, establishing budget plans and monitoring process, strategic planning, program development and implementation, and process improvement techniques.
- Understands and can apply knowledge of decision support applications, data source systems and operational procedures and appropriate internal controls; ability to build relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical skills.
- Experience leading and achieving goals and driving engagement with large teams.
- Familiar with third party payer requirements.
- Familiar with local and national patient collection laws and requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have
- Call center and remote team management preferred.
- Experience with an electronic medical records system, Epic preferred.
