Penn State is seeking an Academic Program Coordinator Supervisor for the Department of Psychology to lead administrative operations and coordination. You will ensure program management and student success for graduate and undergraduate programs while providing critical administrative and logistical support for faculty and students.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily operations and administrative coordination for the Student Services administrative staff team, ensuring consistent office coverage and workflow.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to direct reports and encourage cross-training opportunities.
- Manage schedules, assign duties, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure effective collaboration with College advising and other administrative units.
- Manage processing of graduate appointments, coordinate appointment types, and oversee funding distributions.
- Process stipend changes, salary reallocations, and adjustments.
- Liaise with internal and external units for fellowships, special assignments, and awards.
- Oversee resident course scheduling and work with departmental leadership to meet teaching and instructional needs.
- Manage schedule updates, instructor assignments, and room logistics.
- Collaborate with staff on graduate student teaching and research assignments.
- Support the design and use of databases for student records, course offerings, and workload tracking.
- Oversee staff responsible for student and curriculum data collection and reporting.
- Manage administrative support for the Clinical Training Program, including accreditation-related data needs.
- Coordinate staff work on internship processes and clinical recruitment activities.
- Collaborate with faculty and program graduates to resolve data and reporting issues.
What We're Looking For
- Associate Degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to be detail-oriented
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
