The University of Toronto is looking for an Academic Coordinator to support academic operations for our management and economics undergraduate programs. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring smooth academic delivery through meticulous planning and analysis.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate course timetables by collecting requirements, troubleshooting conflicts, analyzing enrollment, and recommending adjustments.
- Coordinate the recruitment of sessional and stipend instructors, including preparing payroll documents and tracking teaching loads.
- Record, track, and analyze administrative and financial data using various systems to inform decisions.
- Administer the academic calendar, managing reviews and staying informed on changes to courses, programs, and policies.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings to support enrolment and curricular decision-making.
- Develop, implement, document, and analyze service delivery processes, recommending improvements.
- Serve as a resource and respond to enquiries from faculty, staff, and students.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of related experience in post-secondary academic program administration.
- Experience in timetabling, academic scheduling, and/or working with sessional instructors.
- Experience using Student or Teaching Information Systems.
- Experience interpreting and administering collective agreements.
- Experience managing, reporting on, and reconciling financial information.
- Experience with data collection, tracking, and reporting.
- Experience working directly with faculty, staff, and students in a client-facing role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with databases, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of the University of Toronto’s academic cycles, policies, and procedures.

Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Academic and Administration Team Lead.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary starts at $72,119 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $92,226.
