Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans with flexibility to adapt throughout the academic year
- Adjust teaching methods to support varied student learning needs
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of each student's academic progress and development
- Apply research-supported instructional strategies in daily lesson planning and classroom delivery
- Oversee classroom behavior and maintain a structured learning space
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment conducive to student learning
- Use curricula approved by the school that honor students’ diverse cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
- Support and uphold school-wide behavioral and cultural standards
- Engage with families regularly to discuss student academic and emotional development
- Integrate technology into instruction to enhance student learning experiences
- Assist in organizing and carrying out non-instructional school activities when necessary
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff through clear communication
- Complete additional duties as determined by school administration
