Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans, adapting them as needed throughout the academic year
- Adjust teaching methods to support students with varying learning needs
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of each student's academic progress and development
- Apply instructional strategies grounded in educational research during daily teaching and planning
- Maintain appropriate student conduct and discipline within the classroom
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Use school-endorsed curricula that reflect students' diverse cultural, linguistic, and academic backgrounds
- Enforce established school-wide behavioral and cultural standards
- Engage with families to discuss student progress in both academic and social-emotional domains
- Integrate technology into regular classroom activities to enhance student learning
- Support the organization and execution of non-instructional school events when required
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff through clear communication
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by administration
