Responsibilities
- Design and adapt lesson plans throughout the academic year to support student learning
- Adjust teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of all students
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of each student's academic progress and development
- Apply research-supported instructional strategies in daily classroom activities
- Oversee and guide student behavior to maintain a productive learning environment
- Foster an engaging and positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Use school-approved curricula that honor students' varied cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
- Enforce consistent school-wide behavioral and cultural expectations
- Engage with families to discuss student academic performance and social-emotional growth
- Integrate technology into instruction to enhance student learning experiences
- Support the organization of non-instructional school events as required
- Work collaboratively and communicate clearly with fellow educators and staff
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by school administration
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $42,000-51,500. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
