Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans, adapting them as needed throughout the academic year
- Tailor instruction to support the diverse learning needs of all students
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of each student's academic progress and development
- Apply research-backed teaching strategies in daily lesson planning and classroom delivery
- Oversee and guide student behavior to maintain a productive learning environment
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Use school-approved curricula that reflect students' varied cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
- Support and uphold school-wide behavioral and cultural expectations
- Engage with families regularly to discuss student academic and social-emotional progress
- Integrate technology into instruction to enhance student learning experiences
- Assist in organizing and running non-instructional school activities when necessary
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff through clear communication
- Complete additional tasks as directed by school administration
