Dexterra Group is hiring a 3rd Cook - Northern Manitoba Remote Camp Operations

This posting is for an active vacancy. WHAT'S THE JOB? The Third Cook is a support role within the culinary team, working both day and night shifts. This position is responsible for preparing a variety of menu items for bagged lunches, breakfast, and dinner service, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This position is safety sensitive and requires a criminal record check. The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting with the following amenities: - All meals and accommodations are provided - Travel is provided to and from the site locations from designated locations in Winnipeg, Thompson, Flin Flon and The Pas. - Private room with cable television - Access to Wi-Fi - Access to laundry facilities and detergents - Access to a gym and common areas Key responsibilities include: - Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times - Provide consistent, high-quality service to all guests - Keep workstations clean and organized throughout the shift - Prepare hot and cold food items, including: - Cut fruits and vegetables - Simple and mixed salads (e.g., potato, pasta) - Items for bagged lunches and menu service - Prepare portioned vegetable cups and fruit cups - Prepare made-to-order sandwiches and salads based on order sheets - Ensure all food safety standards are followed - Complete HACCP and production logs - Label and date all prepared food items - Transport used kitchenware to dishwashing areas - Perform end-of-shift cleaning, including sweeping and mopping - Complete scheduled weekly and monthly cleaning tasks - Remove garbage as required - Receive and store supplies (food, beverage, chemicals, disposables) - Assist with deliveries and maintain organized storage areas - Support dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or chef - Daily completion of FLHA (Field Level Hazard Assessment) - Daily adherence to DWB (Don’t Walk By) safety practices
