About the Role

3M is hiring a Personal Safety Division Trainer to join the Safety and Industrial Business Group (SIBG). In this role, you will design and deliver training programs to equip sales professionals with the skills and knowledge to excel, acting as a learning and development consultant and subject matter expert for sales processes, tools, and technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and lead external channel partner training sessions, including in-person training in St. Paul and virtual sessions.
  • Be the subject matter expert and lead for all sales process-related training content and sessions, as well as sales tools and technologies.
  • Apply sales process, product, portfolio, and industry knowledge to training, acting as a learning and development consultant within PSD.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive instructor-led training sessions for PSD sales professionals at different career stages.
  • Collaborate with the PSD Expertise Delivery team on portfolio training solutions for internal sales professionals (in-person, eLearning, virtual).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of PSD training initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to PSD sales professionals through ride-alongs and virtual 1:1 engagement.
  • Engage and represent PSD in program development and deployment for Drive (Sales Managers training) and ACE (3M Channel professionals’ program).
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in sales training.
  • Establish and own relationships with key stakeholders within the division, across global areas, departments, and leadership levels.
  • Collaborate closely with regional leaders, portfolio leaders, Application Engineers, and key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Three (3) years of experience creating presentations and delivering them to audiences of 10 or more

  • Proven experience in sales, sales training, and/or a related field
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving

You will be part of the Safety and Industrial Business Group (SIBG) Global Sales Training team, operating in a collaborative, curious, and creative environment that supports and guides employees and believes in empowering them with skills and knowledge.
