Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate production operations during evening hours, ensuring targets are achieved with efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
- Provide training, cross-training, coaching, and professional development to equip team members for success.
- Promote ongoing process improvements using lean manufacturing techniques and 5S methodology.
- Act as a substitute for team leads when needed.
- Comprehend and convey departmental objectives and goals to all team personnel.
- Address employee concerns by resolving conflicts and escalating issues to management as appropriate.
- Respond to operational issues as they arise in real time.
- Participate actively in initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and quality.
- Review and interpret technical documents such as engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and specifications to define production methods and tolerance requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations for employees on the second shift production team.
